I spent a marvellous day fishing for Steelhead on the Bulkley River near Smithers in British Columbia. I rented a pontoon boat from David. I wore neoprene waders and took only my fly rod & flies. David provided a river map and he included a tasty lunch. I had a great day and found that the pontoon boat was a perfect and easy way to cover the water and, very inexpensive compared to the many lodges and outfitter guided steelhead services.
